Apply to Assess

Become a Certified WAMC Trainer and Assessor. Qualified members can be accredited to assess and train others to the association's standards, earning the EBA Assessor badge.

The pathway

What it is

The WAMC Trainer and Assessor accreditation recognises experienced members who are qualified to evaluate and develop others against the association's professional standards.

Accredited assessors uphold the integrity of WAMC recognition. They judge practical work, mentor candidates through the standards framework, and deliver endorsed training on behalf of the association. It is a position of trust, extended only to members with a proven command of their craft and a commitment to the profession.

On successful accreditation, members are conferred the EBA Assessor badge — a visible mark of their standing as a certified WAMC trainer and assessor, carried on their profile and directory listing.

The route to accreditation

Eligibility & process

Accreditation follows a clear, four-stage path from eligibility through to ongoing standards.

Eligibility

Open to members in good standing with substantial professional experience and a recognised WAMC grade. Candidates should have a record of craft excellence and, ideally, prior experience mentoring or training others.

Application

Submit an application setting out your experience, qualifications and the disciplines you wish to assess. Supporting references from existing assessors or your chapter committee strengthen your case.

Review & accreditation

Applications are reviewed against the WAMC standards framework. Successful candidates are accredited and conferred the EBA Assessor badge, joining the network of certified trainers and assessors.

Ongoing standards

Accreditation is maintained through active practice, periodic review and alignment with evolving WAMC standards. Assessors are expected to assess fairly, consistently and in keeping with the association's code of conduct.
