What accreditation means

WAMC is the global approving authority for WAMC-licensed courses and training. Accreditation makes your institution an endorsed and authorised certification authority.

Accreditation looks at the programmes, activities, facilities and documentation that support learning at your institution. It is not a one-off badge. Accredited institutions agree to uphold the standard, report to WAMC each quarter, and submit to a renewal review.

Graduates of accredited programmes receive a WAMC industry accreditation certificate, and may be presented with WAMC medals at a ceremony before graduation.

The route to accreditation

How it works

There are eight steps from first enquiry to accredited status.

  1. Preparation. You gather the materials that show what your institution delivers and how it meets the standard.
  2. Application. You complete the form below, or write to the Accreditation Officer at PO Box 441, Officer, Victoria 3809, Australia.
  3. Registration fee. Once your application is accepted we issue an invoice for the application fee.
  4. Application review. We check the application and your evidence against the accreditation criteria.
  5. On-site assessment. We agree a date with you, and a WAMC representative visits your site to confirm compliance.
  6. Decision. WAMC assessors review the findings and confirm or decline accreditation.
  7. Dues payment. On approval we invoice the first year fees.
  8. Continuous review. Accreditation is ongoing. You report quarterly and renew periodically.
An application is not processed until we hold all three: your supporting evidence, a signed partner agreement, and payment of the agreed accreditation fees. If an application is unsuccessful, accreditation fees are refunded less a 10% administrative charge. Fees are quoted to you on application.
