Cookies Policy
What we store on your device, why, and how to change your mind.
A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to keep. Some are needed to make a website work at all. Others are not, and for those we have to ask first.

You have not made a choice yet. Until you do, we set only the cookies this site cannot run without. No advertising cookies are being set.
1. The short version
We set a small number of first-party cookies so you can sign in, stay signed in, read the site in your language, and submit forms safely. Those are on for everyone, because without them the site does not function.
We would also like to set advertising cookies, which let Google show adverts on our public pages. We set none of those unless you say yes. If you have not answered the banner, or you answered no, the Google advertising code is not loaded at all — it is not merely disabled, it never runs.
We do not use analytics cookies, social media pixels, or any tracking beyond what is listed on this page.
2. What each cookie is for
Strictly necessary Always on
Signing you in, keeping you signed in, remembering your language, and protecting forms from misuse. The site cannot work without these.
| Cookie | Set by | How long it lasts | What it does |
|---|---|---|---|
PHPSESSID |
wamc1950.com | Until you close the browser | Keeps you signed in and holds your basket and form data between pages. |
wamc_consent |
wamc1950.com | 6 months | Remembers this choice, so we stop asking. |
wamc_lang |
wamc1950.com | 1 year | Remembers which of our nine languages you read the site in. |
Advertising Only with your consent
Lets Google show adverts on our public pages and measure whether they work. Google may use these to show you adverts on other websites.
| Cookie | Set by | How long it lasts | What it does |
|---|---|---|---|
Google AdSense |
google.com, googlesyndication.com | Up to 2 years | Chooses which advert to show, counts how often it is seen, and limits how many times you see the same one. |
3. Advertising, in plain words
Our public pages carry advertising from Google AdSense. If you allow advertising cookies, Google may use them to choose which advert to show you, to count how often an advert has been seen, to stop you seeing the same one repeatedly, and to measure whether an advert led to anything. Google may combine this with information it holds from other websites and use it to show you adverts elsewhere.
Google acts as an independent controller for this. How Google uses the data is set out in How Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can also change what Google shows you at My Ad Center.
If you say no, none of that happens on our site, and refusing costs you nothing — every page works exactly the same.
4. Changing your mind
You can change your answer whenever you like, using the button above or the Cookie settings link at the bottom of any page. Your choice is remembered for six months, after which we will ask again.
You can also delete cookies in your browser at any time. Doing so will sign you out and make our banner ask again, because the record of your answer is itself a cookie.
5. Cookies we do not set
To be explicit: we do not use Google Analytics, Meta or Facebook pixels, TikTok or LinkedIn tags, heat-mapping tools, or any other tracking script. If that ever changes, this page and the consent banner change with it, and we will ask you again.
6. Your rights
If you are in the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area or Switzerland, you have the right to be asked before non-essential cookies are set, to refuse without penalty, and to withdraw consent as easily as you gave it. Where a cookie involves personal data you also have rights of access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. How to use them is set out in our Privacy Policy.
You may also complain to your data protection regulator — in the United Kingdom that is the Information Commissioner's Office.
7. Who to ask
Questions about this policy go to our contact page. WAMC Holdings International is the data controller for this website.
