About Sunly

Sunly Kwong Lo is an Australian business leader, international consultant and Chairman of the World Association of Master Chefs (WAMC), with more than 20 years of experience in international business development, migration advisory, investment, education and cross-border partnerships.

Sunly has played a significant role in the international development of WAMC, helping build an organisation with members represented across more than 68 countries and operating chapters in 47 countries. His work has focused strongly on developing international relationships, professional recognition, education opportunities and greater collaboration within the global hospitality and culinary industries.

His international business experience spans Australia and Asia. As Director of Aus-Dragon Group Pty Ltd, Sunly established and managed an international consulting business specialising in trade and migration services. He later served as Business Development Director for the Yan Can Cook Culinary Center in Shenzhen, China, where he was involved in establishing a joint venture and expanding its business and market presence.

Sunly has also served as Director of Solace Advisory Pty Ltd, advising startups and SMEs on innovation, business transformation and expansion into Asia-Pacific markets. His investment experience includes establishing and directing two Early Stage Venture Capital Limited Partnerships, with responsibilities covering due diligence, investment decisions and portfolio monitoring.

A significant part of Sunly's career has involved turning international concepts into structured business and education proposals. His work has included developing detailed strategies covering international training academies, joint ventures, government and university partnerships, training delivery models, funding, international pathways and staged implementation. The WAMC International Hospitality Training Academy proposal, for example, sets out a multi-stage model involving government, education and corporate partners, together with international qualifications, work placements and e-learning development.

Sunly brings to WAMC a combination of commercial experience, strategic thinking and an extensive international network. As Chairman, he continues to support the Association's global development, international partnerships and commitment to advancing professional standards, education and opportunities for chefs and hospitality professionals around the world.
